This song was written about my time working in an office in Dublin. It was inspired by a couple of women I worked with. One who was always immaculately dressed, and another who was nice to your face, but couldn't resist a barbed comment as soon as you were gone. As usual, I ended up writing about myself as much as anyone. Working in an office isn't always easy. It can be tough to keep a balance in that artificial environment. I think of it as a modern day fairytale in the tradition of Humpty Dumpty.
I bought a delicate porcelain doll in a department store on O'Connell St for the video. I thought about not breaking it, but on the advice of a friend, we realised there was only one way it could go. It's one of my first videos, so slightly on the amateur side. It might give you a laugh if nothing else. That's me sweeping up the pieces at the end. Check it out!
