about
The Moon is a simple song, inspired initially by a drunk who had smoked too many cigarettes playing a guitar badly, and aggressively shouting at punters outside Ojala in Malasaña where Yass and I were having coffee. "Hay un gato, hay un gato, hay un gato!" (there's a cat). When one girl gave him change he flung it back at her screaming "no quiero tu puto dinero!' (I don't want your f***ing money!)
Somehow this spawned the idea to create a very relaxing childlike song with images in the style of old cinema, where frames would repeat and repeat to form a rudimentary moving picture. What's missing is almost as important as what you hear.

lyrics
There is a house, a house on the hill
There is a cat, a cat sat on the wall
The moon...
There is a boat, the moon is full, the tide is out
There is a bridge, there is a bridge that links the two sides of the town
The moon...
There is a road, the streetlights stretch on down the road
There is a girl, she walks home in the dark
The moon...
There is a tree, the wind blows through the leaves
There is a man, he stands with his head in his hands
